D is for Death: An Alphabet Colouring Book

The words we use to talk about death are unique, but often hard to understand, specially for children. Talking about death is even harder when the discussions are charged with strong emotions, uncertainty, and pain.

The Jolliffe-Kean family created this alphabet colouring book to help you and your loved ones talk more openly about death. We hope that you will colour together, heal together, and learn about death together. Perhaps you’ll use this book as a place to capture your
thoughts and your memories as you grieve or help the children in your life grieve.

From our family to yours, our wish is that this book will start conversations and help you to make sense when death comes for someone you love.

We’ve left lots of space in this book to draw, to write, to share, and to heal. We have provided space for visitors to sign. Perhaps you’d like to invite visitors to colour in a letter or to share their thoughts or ideas on one of the pages that captures their imagination. As you use this book, and as you think about death and those who have died, we invite you to capture other words that come to mind.
